For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. (Ezekiel 34:11-12)
All of us have times in our lives where we don’t exactly put God first: school, homework, and exams get intense, work, family, and friends take up too much time, and a million other little obligations get piled on the to do list. We get so wrapped up in other things and in managing our lives that we can quickly lose sight of God.
But fear not, because God is around to watch over us. And unlike any human shepherd, God is everywhere at all times, so He is looking out for you everywhere and at all times. He gives us the freedom to make our own decisions, but He is always looking out for each and every one of us. Like a good shepherd, God is nearby, making sure we are protected and that we don’t stray too far. And if you do happen to get a little farther away than usual, whenever you look back He is always going to be there, waiting for you.
